I don’t know what is going on this year, but our calendar has been quite full with fall activities – two school Fall Festivals, a friend party, a Halloween Block Party, classroom parties … It’s all lots of fun, but I’m exhausted and we’re not even halfway through it!
Still, we couldn’t pass on the opportunity to take the girls to the Pumpkin Patch, which has become an annual tradition since Pumpkin was a baby. We are lucky in the East Valley to have a lot of places to choose from. We’ve enjoyed Schnepf Farms in the past, which has the benefit of having a carousel that Pumpkin still remembers two years later, as well as Vertuccio Farms, which has bouncers. Since Vertuccio Farms is closest to us, and we ended up going on a school night, that was our choice for this year.
Peanut, at 22 months, is still a little hesitant to get in a bounce house but she absolutely loved running across this bouncer, which had a lot of open space.
Pumpkin would have jumped all night if we’d let her.
Last year Pumpkin went down the slide with Mr. G, but this year braved the tallest one all by herself.
Peanut got to try out the slide with her dad. We also checked out the corn maze, picked out pumpkins, and did a few other activities.
Side note: Why am I never in the pictures? I guess I need to start asking for someone else to take them once in a while …
Does your family have any favorite fall family traditions?
