As I mentioned in my previous post, I didn’t spend a lot of time seeing the sights while I was in Philadelphia. But, my sister and her fiancé don’t drive, so we spent a lot of time walking around their West Philly neighborhood. I have always had a car and my sister never has. Visiting her allows me a different perspective than I may otherwise see – you pass things so much more quickly in a car and don’t have a chance to see them up close.
Here are some of the things I saw …
There were a lot of murals throughout the city, and the trees were in spring bloom.
One day, we took the trolley to Center City to have lunch at Reading Terminal Market, which had tons of restaurants, bakeries, candy shops, and more. Afterward, we took a short walk to see some of the statues and buildings before heading home.
Back in West Philadelphia, the old Victorian row houses were some of my favorite sights to see.
Naturally, we found a few spots for sweet treats, too!
My next post will be baby photo overload, promise 🙂
