Pumpkin turned 5 today! I can’t believe my baby is about to go into kindergarten. In some ways, it seems as though she was born just yesterday. In other ways, it seems like she’s been with us always.
I am so proud of the person she is becoming. When we were on vacation recently, she hopped up on a carousel animal all by herself for the first time. She helped me clean the house before vacation. She offered to make us all sandwiches for dinner this week. She loves helping her sister. She is funny and smart and sensitive. She loves books and comics, movies and TV, princesses and superheroes, singing and dancing. In the past couple months she’s run into Lake Tahoe and Lake Michigan and onto a huge ferris wheel with no fear. She can count to 100, write all her letters and numbers, and is trying to read. This morning she asked if her legs were longer (than when she was 4) and declared she was stronger than yesterday. She’s amazing!
