Last year, I made a brought a simple gift for a friend returning to work from maternity leave: chocolates, tissues, and a bouquet made of pictures of her baby. This was my most popular Instagram post for all of 2016 (and for all time, until about a week ago), so I thought I should do a quick tutorial. This would also make a fun gift for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Teacher Appreciation and more!
First, the supplies. You’ll need:
- A vase
- One-sided and double-sided tape
- Cupcake liners
- Pipe cleaners
- 2.5-inch punch (alternatively, you could cut circles with scissors)
Step 1: Use the punch to cut the photos into circles (you may need to trim the sides of the photos to get the circle to line up just right).
Step 2: Turn the cupcake liners inside out.
Step 3: Put an “x” of double-sided tape on the back of the photos, and press them into the cupcake liners.
Step 4: Tape the pipe cleaners to the back of the flowers cupcake liners
Step 5: Arrange your photo flowers into a bouquet
Easy peasy! I put ours on a cabinet in our dining area and the girls love seeing them!
