For months now, whenever Pumpkin gets in my car, she asks to listen to the Phantom of the Opera soundtrack. As Halloween drew closer, I realized that would be the perfect Halloween costume for the girls.
Truth be told, Pumpkin and I had actually settled on a different idea way back before the end of last year. But we weren’t on the same page about some of the details, and since her hair is still short, I thought it would be great to do Phantom before it gets much longer (she’s planning to grow it so she can wear it in a bun). She loved the idea!
Mr. G was surprised that she’s still on board with letting me choose her costumes. But since they’re based on her own interests, and I run the ideas by her, it all works out.
With Pumpkin being Phantom, Peanut of course gets to be Christine. And she’s usually happy to go along with what big sis likes, plus she LOVES to wear fancy dresses. When we tried this one on, she twirled and twirled and didn’t want to take it off.
On a side note, how is she possibly this big???????????
These two are just the best.
Now I’m just trying to decide if I’m going to let them watch the movie before Halloween or not. I may have to watch it first to decide if it’s appropriate for both of them.
Either way, I’m so excited they have costumes they love that are also unique. (They play superheroes and princesses all year long. so it’s fun to mix it up on Halloween.)
Pumpkin’s pants are a wee bit short, but we’re rolling with it because I found a used tux for $12 and I figured that’s better than buying new!
